U.S. Chemicals' Robin Florio supports the work of Americares at First Aid Kit Assembling Event
July 27, 2016
Stamford, Conn. - July 27, 2016 - In an ongoing partnership with AmeriCares, U.S Chemicals’ employee Robin Florio visited the emergency response and global health organization’s Stamford, Conn. distribution center on July 27 to help assemble first aid kits. Working alongside AmeriCares employees, Robin helped assemble 1,000 kits that include primary care treatment items for a variety of minor injuries. The kits will be kept in the AmeriCares warehouse and distributed to disaster survivors in the U.S. and around the world after earthquakes, hurricanes, floods and other emergencies.
“First aid kits are particularly important for people displaced by major emergencies,” said AmeriCares Director of Emergency Programs Kate Dischino. “Thanks to the support of Robin and all of U.S. Chemicals, we will be ready to respond when disaster strikes.”
AmeriCares has been aiding survivors of natural disasters, political conflict and extreme poverty around the world for nearly 40 years, saving lives and building healthier futures for people in crisis. On average, AmeriCares responds to 30 natural disasters and humanitarian crises worldwide each year.
